His strong hands caressed her soft cheeks. She looked up to find two beautiful green eyes looking down on her with pain.

“I love you.”

Those three simple words he whispered took her by surprise. Three words that by their own are quite simple, but when you put them all together their meaning takes up a much bigger space. I love you.
